What is Zero Trust Network Access?

Zero Trust Network Access ensures that no user or device is automatically trusted, regardless of their location or network environment. Once the user and device are authenticated, Zero Trust Network Access enforces granular access controls. It evaluates factors such as user roles, device type, location, and time of access to determine the level of access granted. This approach ensures that users have access only to the specific applications and resources they need, minimizing potential risks. Hence ZTNA establishes encrypted tunnels between the user's device and the network or applications. This ensures that data remains confidential and secure, even when transmitted over public networks.
