Today, we are pleased to announce the release of a long-awaited feature in GoTo Meeting: Audio Sharing is now available for all users (Mac and Windows) with GoTo Meeting version 10.14!
These days, meeting participants are on the same page – literally. Still, we sometimes find ourselves in meetings where little is accomplished. Collaboration and personal interactions are critical to not only employee engagement, but your company’s success as well – and sharing content is an essential feature that turns a simple conference call into an interactive online meeting. Whether you’re giving a sales demo or presentation with embedded video, taking advantage of content sharing means you have the power to improve your business outcomes.
So without further ado, here’s how you can begin sharing media sound in GoTo Meeting:

How to include media sound during a meeting
While sharing an audio or video clip, presenters can include the media sound coming from their computer with attendees. Please note that background noise (like app notifications) will also be able to be heard, and you must be connected to computer audio to use this feature.
- Click the “Share” icon to begin sharing.
- In the “Share my screen” window, check the “Include media sound” box and click Share. Alternatively, you can use the “Options” drop-down in the “Presenter” toolbar and select “Include media sound”.
If you are on a Windows computer, be sure the speaker output matches the device selected in GoTo Meeting – both audio must be playing from your headset. Changing the speaker device in GoTo Meeting will stop audio sharing, but as soon as the shared content and GoTo Meeting begin playing from the same speaker output, audio sharing will work.
